Quasi, the long-running ex-couple duo of Janet Weiss and Sam Coomes, return this fall with the massive double-album Mole City. They’ve already shared one song, “You Can Stay But You Gotta Go,” but that still leaves them with 23 songs left to share. So here’s another one! “See You On Mars” is the album’s next single, and it’s with its pounding piano and its multi-movement structure, it sounds something like what happens when a couple of ragged old-school indie-rockers attempt to make their version of Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell.
