The Replacements will play a few reunion shows starting next weekend, and now we finally know what the line-up will look like. In addition to frontman Paul Westerberg and bassist Tommy Stinson, the band will also feature LA drummer Josh Freese (of Vandals, Guns N’ Roses, Devo, A Perfect Circle) and Boston guitarist David Minehan (of the Neighborhoods). Freese and Minehan have both toured with Westerberg in the past, when played some solo shows in the 90s. According to the Star Tribute, the line-up was confirmed by Westerberg’s manager Darren Hill. “There are no plans right now besides those three shows,” Hill told the Tribune. The band will play three dates of the Riot Fest: Toronto on August 25 with Iggy Pop + the Stooges, Chicago on September 25 with the Pixies, and Denver on September 21st.
