Clash_SoundSystemBoxSet

Next week (9/10) marks the release of the Clash’s Sound System box set, a massive collection of remastered albums, demos, and merch that would impress any fan of the seminal UK punk band and we have one to give away. The 12-disc bounty includes newly mastered editions of The Clash, Give ’Em Enough Rope, London Calling (2xCDs), Sandinista! (3xCDs), and Combat Rock, three discs of rarities, demos, non-album singles, and B-sides, and a DVD featuring unseen footage of the band from UK documentary filmmaker Julien Temple, early Don Letts-shot Super 8 film footage, all of the band’s promo videos, and previously-unseen live footage. Box set merch includes reprints of the first two Armagideon Times fanzines and a third, new issue complied and designed by bassist Paul Simonon, dog tags, pins, stickers, a Future Is Unwritten notebook designed by Harland Miller, and an exclusive Clash photo poster. And if that all sounds a bit overwhelming, no sweat, it comes with an owner’s manual, too. Check out more of the details of Sound System here and read the rules for the contest below.

  46. I was at a Palma Violets show a couple months back and after their set they proceeded to crowd surf and mosh with the people left to English Civil War off Get Em Enough Rope. It was one of the most memorable concert experiences I’ve had this year, so right now I’d have to say English Civil War.
