The Blow

The Blow, the ridiculously eloquent New York-via-Portland synthpop duo, are finally ready to release their first album since they dropped 2006′s Paper Television, switched around half of their membership, and moved to the big city. The new album is self-titled, and the first song we heard from it, “Make It Up,” was just awesome. So is the second. “From The Future” is a dazzling, unbelievably catchy tune about fearing the unknown, and you can hear it below.

The Blow is out 10/1 on Kanine.

  1. Saw em at Toronto’s ALL CAPS festival and it was one of the most wonderful weird shows I’ve ever seen.

  2. So wouldn’t that be Portland via New York? Via means “by way of” and if I understand it correctly, they are a Portland duo who are now hailing from New York. So…. yeah.
