We’ve already heard “You Don’t Get Me Twice” and the title track from Sleigh Bells’ upcoming Bitter Rivals, but now the entire LP is available for stream before its release next week. Do they have another Bad Girl Movie Trailer Anthem on their hands? Find out below.

  1. Less anger and more angst, but consistent and often lovely, which isn’t a word used in the same sentence as Sleigh Bells. There are some solid additions to the Sleigh Bells catalog, especially the title track and “Sing Like A Wire,” which sounds like a Janet Jackson tribute, complete with synth claps throughout. Now that I think about it, much of BR is loaded with notes of Ladies of the 80s.

Less exciting than Treats, but more complete than Reign of Terror, Bitter Rivals is the brand of Sleigh Bells pep rally music we’ve come to expect, but maybe it would be more at home played in the gym of an all-girls private school.

  2. I have to admit I was skeptical but the pop/noise formula still works.
