Chvrches on Jools Holland

Glasgow synthpoppers Chvrches released The Bones Of What You Believe, one of the year’s most instantly likable debut albums, last week. That album is going to stick with us for a while, and we should get good and used to hearing its songs. And while the group hasn’t yet launched a full-scale U.S. media blitz, they did appear on the most recent episode of the British show Later… With Jools Holland, performing a couple of the album’s tracks and sounding smooth and confident. Below, watch them playing the ridiculously catchy single “The Mother We Share” and the nearly-as-great “Lies.”

  1. The songs are catchy synth pop songs. but my God are they boring live! wheres the energy?

  2. How freaking weird is that Jools Holland character, and the way he roams across the stage to introduce the band? Totally unnatural and uncomfortable. Is he popular in another country? Douche-chills.

  3. YES FINALLY!!!!!!
