“Far From The Roses” is a much livelier affair than the first song we heard from Minor Alps, the new project of Juliana Hatfield and Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws. The charging song is carried by the dual vocals of Caws and Hatfield, easily shifting into a solo delivery from Caws at just the right moment. It’s a wonderful, unpredictable song made up of (as the two sing at one point) “tiny victories and bursts of speed.” Listen below.
