To promote Pearl Jam’s new album Lightning Bolt, Eddie Vedder was interviewed by comedy director extraordinaire Judd Apatow. The interview, which we saw teased in Danny Clinch’s short film isn’t a laugh riot, though. Vedder and Apatow tackle serious business like Edward Snowden’s leak of U.S. government documents, religion and evolution (baby!), and working with musical heroes. OK, so, no funny business, but it’s also not dull by any means; any time you have the chance to sit in while two thoughtful, intelligent creative titans trade ideas, you do it. Watch all 17 fascinating minutes of the interview at The Guardian.
