Úlfur Hansson spends most of his time as a touring member of Jónsi (of Sigur Rós)’s band, but he has recently branched out on his own with the album White Mountain. The record is a collection of gorgeous compositions, particularly “Heaven In A Wildflower,” which has now gotten the video treatment by Máni Sigfússon. Images of mountains, dark figures with flaming heads are spread through, but it’s the sand that stands out most, as it shifts and moves with the same fluidity as those strings. It’s beautiful and strange, not unlike Jodorowsky’s Holy Mountain which Hansson’s album references in its title. Watch it below and look for Úlfur on tour with Colin Stetson.
White Mountain is out now Western Vinyl.
