Back when Arctic Monkeys released AM single “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High,” Tom compared it to Britain’s sleek new wave of dark and artsy R&B-pop, and the band turned to noted hip-hop video producer Nabil for the video. But as this acoustic performance at Manhattan’s Avatar Studios proves, it works as a xylophone-infused folk ballad too, albeit a folk ballad with soulful falsetto accents. Have a look below.
