Kanye West

UPDATE: Kanye’s label has released a statement:

Yesterday, on the road to Vancouver, a truck carrying The Yeezus Tour’s custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen was in an accident that damaged the gear beyond repair. This gear is central to the staging of The Yeezus Tour, and central to the creative vision put forth by Kanye West and his design team at DONDA. As a result of this event, it is impossible to put on the show and The Yeezus Tour will be postponed until these essential pieces can be reengineered and refabricated. Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans. The Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis dates have been postponed. Further details on the affected tour dates will be announced shortly.

UPDATE 2 (11/4): Kanye has apparently now canceled 11/7 and 11/9 dates in Chicago as well.

Bad news for anyone hoping to see Kanye West perform in Vancouver tonight. The show (which was originally postponed from Oct. 20th) has been cancelled, according to BC paper The Province. As of now there are no announced plans to reschedule the show, which (not to rub it in or anything) sounds like it’s pretty spectacular. Tomorrow’s Anaheim stop was recently postponed to 12/13 as well.

  1. You’re making me very nervous about next Tuesday, Mr. West.

  3. our best chance to find out more about this will probably be on a future kardashians episode

  4. Dammit!!!!! As soon as he postponed the Vancouver show I had a bad feeling our Denver show would end up getting pushed back too. Here’s to hoping I’ll be able to get the night off work again if he ever decides to reschedule it.

  5. Oh we all know the real reason as to why he keeps skipping out on Vancouver is because he’s afraid he’ll be confronted by Nardwuar.

    • That would be so amazing. I have been out in Van for a few months and have been meaning to find Nardwuar to prove to my self that he is real and not a magical internet being.

      • I’ve seen Nardwuar a few times and have even been pulled up on stage during a set with his band The Evaporators (he made me put on a pair of gas station coveralls), so yes, he does exist.

  6. I’d love to see him play Minneapolis hopefully he reschedules a night I can make it!

  7. At least you got a press release, Denver, Vancouver and Minneapolis. He canceled Salt Lake a week after tickets went on sale via an email from the ticket seller. It’s the great unreported crime of 2013.
