The ridiculously stylish British mutant-dance producer and Yeezus contributor Evian Christ has a new EP called Waterfall coming early next year. “Salt Carousel,” the first EP track he’s shared, takes on the old rave trick of speeding up a sampled vocal (think the Prodigy’s “Out Of Space“), and it takes it to ridiculous extremes, to the point where the sample sounds like a feral mouse with a tank full of helium in its lungs. And he uses that trick over a slow beat, a titanic dessicated digital lope. It sounds crazy; listen below.
