Victoria Secret

The genius of Autre Ne Veut’s Anxiety is summed up pretty well on “Counting.” It subtly blended dissonant electronics with smooth pop R&B, while Arthur Ashin, despite his sexy delivery, sang about his fears of losing his grandmother in her old age. It’s heavy stuff, but it’s heavy stuff you can grind to. Now Victoria’s Secret has used it to show off their “Dream Angels” line. Pretty catchy, pretty inept. This is almost on par with Honda using that Perfume Genius song about child abuse for a car commercial. Watch the video below.

Anxiety is out now via Software. It was our Album Of The Week earlier this year.

  1. Almost as bad as using LCD Soundsystem’s “Someone Great”, a song about death and loss, to sell a stupid fucking watch.
