Daft Punk - "Instant Crush" Video

Daft Punk’s “Instant Crush” video, previewed yesterday on French TV, is now available to watch in full. Unlike those live “Get Lucky“/”Lose Yourself To Dance” clips, it’s a Random Access Memories promo that does not feature the robots performing with Pharrell and Nile Rodgers. Set in a museum, this one’s a tragic love story starring a Napoleonic soldier statue modeled after Julian Casablancas, who also appears in the flesh. Watch below.

The box set for Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories (one of the year’s best albums) is available for pre-order now. Julian Casablancas has a new LP, rumored to be titled Voidz, coming out next year.

  1. Very 80′s ish with Twilight Zone overtones. I’m glad they chose this for a single. One of the best off a very great album.

  2. Mom, I want a My-Sized Julian for Christmas.

  3. Julian Casablancas is still cool. Great video!

  4. Can’t help but feel this video could be better with way more mannequin and less live action Julian. Pedestal dancing didn’t do it for me.

  5. Julian, your phrazes are showing

  6. Hidden due to low comment rating. Click here to see

  7. I would love to see a Julian Casablancas statue & Wooden David Bowie Dummy co-headlining tour and maybe a Watch The Throne type album.

  8. Looks like they visualised Donovan’s Tin Soldier.
