Rory Atwell has worn many musical hats in the past, working behind the scenes in recordings by Yuck and Male Bonding, and playing with Dev Hynes in the band Test Icicles. Now Atwell is focusing on his solo project Warm Brains, for which he’s been making dazzling rock songs like “Two Fingered Salute.” He plays things fairly close to the chest here, but when that chorus hits and the piano kicks in he lets things all flow in full force.
