Two of New York’s best bands, the DFA New Wave disco crew Holy Ghost! and the foggy-lens Prince-channeling R&B revivalist Blood Orange, each made fantastic records this year in Dynamics and Cupid Deluxe respectively. Now those sounds are colliding on Holy Ghost!’s bootleg of the great bass-popping Blood Orange single “You’re Not Good Enough.” The new HG version uses the slightest of adjustments to turn Dev Hynes’ song into more of a club track than a headphones jam.
