London Grammar – “Everywhere You Go”

London Grammar – “Everywhere You Go”

We’ve been hearing new sides of the London Grammar lately, first in their awe-inspiring “Wrecking Ball” cover and now in an early recording they’ve released to promote the U.S. reissue of their debut If You Wait. The previously unreleased “Everywhere You Go” forgoes the chilling electronic flourishes that usually swell around Hannah Reid’s commanding alto in favor of balmy lounge music befitting Yo La Tengo’s quieter moments, Florence & The Machine at open mic night, or even a version of the xx with more unbridled passion. (They kind of look like a cross between the xx and One Direction, don’t they?) That spellbinding voice is still front and center, though. Hear the gorgeous thing below.
