  1. I can’t seem to find ‘Bound 1′ by Kanye West on iTunes.

  2. what about that other atoms for peace video? and evil eye by franz fergindon!

  3. There seems to be a typo in the Dylan video – it was directed by Vania Heymann and not Vanis. Really nice seeing this amazing Israeli filmmaker getting some recognition worldwide!

  4. Yo Kanye, I’m really happy for you and Ima let you finish, but Bob Dylan had one of the best videos of ALL TIME! ONE OF THE BEST VIDEOS OF ALL TIME!

  5. I owe an apology to Gum user eighteenk (See: )

    You were right.
    I was wrong.
I’m sorry for doubting you and wishing you a premature farewell.
We’re all glad you’re sticking around.

  6. Diane Young, Sacrilege, You & I (by Local Natives)

  7. Of all the times to add Fiona Apple to a list, it belonged here. The Hot Knife video was sensational.

  8. Oh come on, people. I mean, come on! Is the idea that the Kanye video is so perfect in it’s awfulness that it’s actually brilliant or something? If we’re giving Kanye credit for being brilliant even when he’s awful, then can we just leave him off all year end lists and assume he’s #1 in everything?

    • I think it was the most recent music video everyone had seen and they didn’t bother thinking of all the other videos we saw. Hell, even I forgot about the Beach House “Wishes” video (my vote for best of the year).

Most people probably didn’t care and thought it’d be funny (See: Franco & Rogen’s inclusion)

  9. The video for Disclosure’s White Noise is missing. Sadness.

  10. Dunno if Arcade Fire’s post-SNL special was eligible, but that won the year.

  11. I still can’t handle Bound 3.

It’s like if two of your friends start making out as a joke, and then it goes on a little too long, and suddenly you realize that they’ve actually made a connection and you’re now watching two people earnestly make out with each other. And you feel like maybe you should leave the room and let them have their privacy.

  12. Thank god, I don’t have to quit the site now.

  13. I voted for Jenny Hval’s Innocence is Kinky.
I knew it was a very long shot, but it’s a good antidote to Kanye and Kim anyway.
The Knife’s Full of Fire or anything by Austra could have been there too.

  14. All this Kanye worship bullshit is just stupid. I don’t give a damn if you’re trying to be ironic or serious. Your creditability is going to suffer for it in the long run.

    • Tons of blogs and critics love Kanye. What are you going on about, yung wun?

Also credibility is the word you’re looking for.

    • 10 years from now, having successfully pivoted to a job reporting for Foreign Affairs magazine, Scott Lapatine will write a controversial article about Chile rebuking a US trade deal. He will then lose his job because it is revealed that he listened to Kanye West.

  15. There is a severe lack of G-Dragon.
