Gnarls Barkley

Gnarls Barkley members CeeLo Green and Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse) have both been insanely busy lately — Green with his solo career, a Goodie Mob reunion, and a role on The Voice, Burton with the new Broken Bells album plus involvement with upcoming records by U2, the Black Keys, and Frank Ocean — but their schedules are about to get even busier. In an airport ambush video at TMZ, Green confirms that Gnarls will reunite in 2014, the band’s first activity since sophomore LP The Odd Couple in 2008. TMZ speculates that the reunion could go down alongside the OutKast reunion at Coachella because Green and Burton first met while on tour with OutKast. Watch the quick clip below.

  1. Yo S’Gum! Can we get a Countdown of DangerMouse’s Top 10 collabos?!?!

I’d like to see where y’all think the Gnarls Barkley records stack up against his work with Broken Bells, the Black Keys, MF DOOM, and (my personal favorite) the Sparklehorse/David Lynch/everyone-ever-that-matters super compilation, Dark Night of the Soul

    • Dark Night of the Soul is criminally underrated. It’s a classic. Especially considering the untimely passing of two of its contributors within a year after its release.
