Except Kanye makes genre-pushing, exciting, interesting music (if polarizing) and T.S. makes safe, mediocre pop-rock for the masses?

“DEAR OH SEES FANS,
THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT.
THE BAND IS NOT BREAKING UP.
THIS IS JUST A WELL DESERVED BREAK AND A TRANSITIONAL PERIOD.
A NEW THEE OH SEES LP WILL BE OUT EARLY 2014
AND WE WILL SEE WHERE THE LIVE SHOW GOES FROM THERE…
UNTIL THEN, BE WELL

A no talent hack who is only hanging on to relevance by creating absolutely arbitrary “beefs” with anyone who even breathes in her direction.

T.S. at #8? Are there that many people on this site actually excited about her release? Why does this SG continue to push Taylor Swift as anything beyond a mildly talented pop star? I don’t get it.

Wrecking Ball is a better song than anything here, aside from Dream House and Song for Zula.

Vampire Weekend could suck a golf ball through a garden hose. No wait. They would get their parents to hire someone else to do it for them.

This lists are getting ridiculous. The 100 most anticipated albums of 2014? In the past 10 years there’s been like only 30 great albums from start to finish.

THIS WEEK’S EDITOR-IN-CHIEF’S CHOICE

The line about driving a car into a telephone poll reminds me of May 15, 2002, when the tailor in my hometown had a fight with his wife at like 2 am, left the house, got into his car, gunned it at a telephone poll at a t-intersection, missed the telephone poll, plowed through the PlayPlace, dining room, counter and kitchen of the 24-hour McDonald’s, striking and killing three employees in the process, and managed to survive. Where was Sisyphus then?
