Two years ago, the doomy Toronto synth duo Trust made their debut with the ominous album TRST. Since that time, Trust has become a solo project, with Robert Alfons running the whole show, and the sophomore LP Joyland, which Alfons describes as “an eruption of guts, eels, and joy,” looms imminent. First single “Rescue, Mister” is harder and clubbier and more concrete than anything on TRST, but it keeps some fundamental darkness intact. Listen to it below.
Joyland is out 3/4 on Arts & Crafts.
