Wild Beasts - "Wanderlust" video

British art-poppers Wild Beasts released their last album, Smother, in 2011, and since then, we’ve only heard a few stray tracks and remixes from the band. But now they’ve debuted a swollen, spacey new track called “Wanderlust,” sharing a video for the song. The clip, directed by the Barcelona collective NYSU, shows four broad archetypes as they run across a stylized landscape and have big, emotional moments. Watch it below.

We don’t have any details on it yet, but there’s talk of a new Wild Beasts album this year.

  1. “Don’t confuse me with someone who gives a fuck”

  2. I feel like Wild Beast have released three of the most underrated albums of the past while and yet they still somehow operate under the radar. I really hope their new album gives them the bigger audience they deserve. They’re a special band.

  3. Blown away. Such a great first song coming off of the subdued yet phenomenal “Smother”

Better yet was the new link to Hayden Thorpe & Jon Hopkins cover of “Goodbye Horses”. Shocked they didn’t sell out of the vinyl.

Happy Wild Beasts fan over heeeeeeerrrrrree.

  4. Right now I have not feel for this track, but Wild Beast surely an underrated band, I’m proud that I’m a fan.

    • I know what you mean but when it comes to Wild Beasts… remember that last time they’ve released Albatross as the first song to show of Smother? It’s a great track but once you dug deeper into the album what did you get? ”Deeper”, ”Reach a Bit Further”, ”Bed of Nails”, ”Lion’s Share”, hell the whole thing is amazing, what i’m trying to say is that WB isn’t a band that choose their like pop song as a single.

  5. Pity the redhead isn’t the singer…but i did watch 60 secs of it, do i win something?

  6. Love the song. I just wish there was more falsetto and vibrato – those are my favorite things about Wild Beasts!
