Washed Out

Washed Out’s second album, Paracosm, came out last summer and since then the band (the days of it just being Ernest Greene and a laptop are long past) has been playing festivals and TV shows. They stopped by The Late Show With David Letterman last night to play album highlight “All I Know.” You can watch the video below.

Paracosm is out now via Sub Pop.

  1. Gotta love when the singer raised his acoustic guitar during the height of the lead licks to keep the attention on him. Bassist plunges them to an unengaging level hitherto only plumbed by Chvrches.

    • Hahahaha the keyboardist at 1:07 is just GOLD. Mild air humps done right.

You know, LWD, you’ve got me thinking about chVrches, who are an incredibly boring live act. I think a good comparison is the guitarist for Miguel’s live act, who I’m assuming got lost after yellowcard broke up and fell under the spell of miggy’s leg drop. So you’ve got a couple ends of the spectrum and you know what? Put both those shits on stage and let’s build the continuum – ya hear?

    • what the fuck am I saying? I meant that the miguel yellowcard guitarist is the exact opposite, almost to a problem. I’m stupid.

  2. Why was the guitarist such a jerk to Letterman at the end?

  3. Paracosm is great but Washed Out live is still boring, even more with a full band of bored hipsters.
