Mike Skinner’s feeling philosophical these days. Along the lines of “The Escapist,” which had Mike getting help from a choir while walking the streets, taking in trees, rain, stones and sand while pondering life’s fleeting moments, “Everything Is Borrowed” has him getting existential over similarly tear-jerky beats: “I came to this world with nothing, and I’ll leave with nothing but love. Everything else is just borrowed.” Something tells me he’ll be pouring less vodka in his fans’ throats on this tour. Listen at MySpace. (Thanks, P4K)

Everything Is Borrowed is out 9/15 in the UK via 679.
