Vampire Weekend on Kimmel

In fall 2012, months before they announced their staggering third album Modern Vampires In The City, Vampire Weekend appeared on one of Jimmy Kimmel Live’s special Brooklyn shows and debuted the eventual album highlight “Unbelievers.” Last night, we got an encore performance of sorts — VW coming through Kimmel’s big outdoor stage in L.A. and bringing the song back. That song was an online bonus after they played “Hannah Hunt,” arguably the best song among many great ones on Modern Vampires. Ezra Koenig, it bears mentioning, wore an olive-green capri-pants jumpsuit thing, and it was only slightly less striking than the Halloween-themed skull-faced makeup he wore the last time he played the song on Kimmel. Watch both performances below.

Modern Vampires In The City is out now on XL.
