After the triumphant year he had in 2013, Chance the Rapper is now a conquering hero in his Chicago hometown. And over the past few nights, he’s had a few opportunities to bask in that glory. A few nights ago, during a show for college students at Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, Chance introduced the Chicago R&B star Jeremih and debuted a buoyant, exuberant new collab. Then, on Friday night, Action Bronson played Chicago’s Metro, and Chance joined him for “Nana,” their collab from Chance’s Acid Rap, surprising a crowd that looked very amped. Watch fan-made videos of both performances below.
If Chicago audiences continue to treat Chance like he’s CM Punk for the rest of eternity, the world will be a better place.
