Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr.

Detroit’s Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. make a super-clean form of festival-ready synthpop that’s always reminded me of Hall & Oates, and I haven’t really gotten it. But when you add Rap Stuff to it, it makes a whole lot more sense to me. The group is planning to release an honest-to-god mixtape called Produce, and it’s already given us their cover of Randy Newman’s “I Think It’s Gonna Rain Today.” The next selection from the tape is called “Rush Into Love,” and it’s got a guest verse from the Cool Kids’ Chuck Inglish and vocal help from Slim, frontman for the great late-’90s R&B boy band 112. I like it! Download it below.

Produce is coming soon.
