Katy B in BBC Live Lounge

In a recent live-in-studio session, Katy B tried out a cover of One Direction’s “Story Of My Life,” and it was awesome. But Katy hadn’t finished covering British boy bands in that same studio, and she’s since returned for another one. In a recent visit to the BBC Live Lounge, Katy covered Arctic Monkeys’ “One For The Road” with a keyboardist and two backup singers. In the process, she turned it into a fundamentally different song, a sort of saucy soul lope. She also fused it with a version of Ben Pearce’s deep house hit “What I Might Do.” Watch the performance below.

Katy’s very good new album Little Red is out 2/10 on Rinse/Columbia.
