Elle magazine is the best selling fashion magazine in the world, so if you’re confused why they’d want to interview the lead singer of a band as chaotic as Perfect Pussy, I’m going to bet you’ve only listened to them. That’s because in addition to being one of the best new punk bands (case in point: “Driver“), the Syracuse group has a stylish as hell frontwoman in Meredith Graves. The magazine asked her to give a few survival tips for living on the road, but even if you’re not touring in a band they still make for pretty good advice.

The article includes some general advice like “fuck embarrassment” and “always under pack” (“I carry two months’ wardrobe in an ergonomically sound and very uncool backpack”) along with more specific tips like bringing disposable cameras: “The cheaper the better. Don’t buy anything that’s name brand because you usually can’t whack them on the palm of your hand to get double exposures. Keep one in your pocket at all times even if it feels like a burden because cell phone cameras are awkward and terrible and not fun.” Graves also shares what she’s currently reading and listening to, and claims that Drake’s “Worst Behavior” might be the coolest song ever written.
