He’s been a dance-music headliner for years, but A-Trak was a DMC World Champion turntablist before he was old enough to drive, and now he’s getting back on his rap shit. He’s getting ready to release Federal Reserve, a collaborative EP with Cam’ron; they’ve already shared the excellent first single “Humphrey.” And now he’s teaming up with Lex Luger, the producer behind thundering Southern rap hits like Rick Ross’s “BMF (Blowin’ Money Fast)” and Waka Flocka Flame’s “Hard In Da Paint,” to form a new duo called Lo Pros. The first Lo Pros track we’ve heard is “Jack Tripper,” which has a disorienting but trunk-rattling beat and vocals from the great Atlanta street-rap weirdos Young Thug and PeeWee Longway. It’s an absolute banger, and you can hear it below.

Lo Pros have announced no plans for a mixtape or an EP, but on the strength of this, I can’t wait to hear what they do next.
