Common

Last month, we learned that Common had once again teamed up with No I.D., the producer behind his classic 1994 album Resurrection, for a new full-length called Nobody Smiling. They’ve already shared one song, “War,” and now Common has teamed up with the Black Hippy livewire Ab-Soul, his distant descendent in the politically-addled-rapper lineage, for a new song called “Made In Black America.” This is another No I.D. production, and his tense and rippling beat is the best thing about the song. Listen to it below.

No word yet on a Nobody Smiling release date, but we’ll let you know.

  1. Song is great but the cancerous DJ tags make this unlistenable. I’ll wait for a CDQ version.
