Someone Finally Transcribed Hieronymous Bosch’s 500 Year Old Butt Song From Hell

Hieronymous Bosch’s depictions of Hell are some of the most iconic in all of history. His massive landscapes are filled with precise details and horrific situations wherever your eyes decide to land and his famous triptych The Garden Of Earthly Delights (painted between 1490 and 1510) is basically a Where’s Waldo of fucked up imagery (I highly recommend going to the Wiki page to examine it up close). One creative bit of torture in the piece comes from the demon-inscribed music notation on some poor person’s posterior, and now someone has finally copied those notes down and played them. On her Tumblr page ChaosControlled123, a college student by the name of Amelia explains how she “decided to transcribe it into modern notation, assuming the second line of the staff is C, as is common for chants of this era.” Her recording of it has since gone viral.
