There’s a classic format for an all-star rap remix video, one that probably comes from the classic Hype Williams clip for the “Flava In Ya Ear” remix: All the rappers, collected in one place, filmed in black-and-white against a stark background, projecting as much personality as humanly possible. Somehow, it works every time. Case in point: Motion Family’s clip for YG’s star-heavy “My Nigga” remix, which follows the formula and completely rules. A few extra famous people show up for cameos, everyone looks cool, the whole thing has energy, and Nicki Minaj, in particular, seems ready to dominate the known universe. Watch it below.
