We learned last year that André 3000 would play Jimi Hendrix in the new biopic All Is By My Side. The movie faces an unfortunate problem: Hendrix’s estate denied the film the rights to use the man’s music. But Hendrix covered a ton of other musicians’ songs, and it looks like the movie, which focuses on the year that Hendrix moved to London and rose to fame, will be able to skate by on that. And now, the producers have shared a short clip of the film, a minute-long scene in which Hendrix attempts to convince the model Linda Keith, played by Imogen Poots, to come to the Monterey Pop Festival with him.
