The Snow

The Snow is a new supergroup featuring three frontmen of dreamy new wave and post-punk bands: Beach Fossils’ Dustin Payseur, Wild Nothing’s Jack Tatum, and Holograms’ Andreas Lagerström. Their first single together, a Record Store Day release called “Memory Loss,” sounds exactly like you’d think — ethereal haze, gleaming guitar arpeggios, driving melodic bass, steady backbeat, melancholic moan — and it’s as good as you’d expect. Hear it below.

The Snow’s “Memory Loss” b/w “Joy of Life” 7-inch is out on Record Store Day (4/19) via Captured Tracks.

  1. Was doing some work while this was on in the background and all I could think after was: “Why so short?!” No idea what the lyrics are but I’m loving this.

  2. Wow, whichever one of them is doing the vocals has been keeping their spot-on Robert Smith impression a secret up until now.

  3. I wish this was a new Snow track, I want a follow-up Informer.

  4. Oh yes, great tune….1986 redux a la Cure.
