Fresh off a diamond-in-the-rough performance at SXSW, Kevin Gates has released a video for a cut from his new mixtape, By Any Means. (Gates’ mixtape The Luca Brasi Story made the 13th spot on our Best Rap Albums of 2013 List.) In the video for “Arm & Hammer” we get the sneering growled cadence that’s making Gates one of the best new names in hip-hop, accompanied by some grocery shopping. Not just any grocery shopping though — this is the type of grocery shopping you do when you’ve run out of baking soda and you can no longer cut your drugs properly.
