Kim Deal

Over the last year or so, Kim Deal has been working on a singles series, dropping two songs every couple months. In the past we’ve heard tracks like “Hot Shot,” “Walking With A Killer,” and most recently “Are You Mine?” Today she has a new one out with Morgan Nagler (whose band, Whispertown, has toured with the Breeders) called “The Root.” Watch the quick and dirty music video, shot with a cameraphone a car’s backup camera (like Death Grips), below .

Order the single via Kim’s website.

  1. I will never not be madly in love with Kim Deal.
    Bonus?
Her music is better than ANYTHING Charles is releasing these days.

  2. It actually looks like it was shot with a car’s backup camera. Note the “Check surroundings for safety” at the bottom of the screen.

Shot with a “cameraphone”? Sounds newfangled. Also pretty clearly a car back-up camera.

  4. Didn’t Death Grips already do this?
