Rented World

Scrappy Scranton pop-punks the Menzingers have toured with the likes of Against Me!, Lemuria, and PUP (as well as one of personal favorites from my hometown, Tin Armor), and next month Epitaph will release their latest album, Rented World. Lead single “I Don’t Wanna Be An Asshole Anymore” sounds as blithely straightforward and excruciatingly passionate as you’d expect from a pop-punk band’s song called “I Don’t Wanna Be An Asshole Anymore.” In other words, the Menzingers have achieved anthem status with this one. Pump your fist after pressing play below.

Rented World is out 4/22 on Epitaph.

  1. The Menzingers! About time they get some coverage on this site.

    • Yeah! My thoughts exactly about their feature on here and on Pitchfork today. This is a seriously outstanding song, but I think they’ve had even better ones on the last two LPs — so I’m surprised this is the one that finally crossed the barrier. So pumped for Rented World.
