Freddy Scott - "This Is A Trent Reznor Song" video

Earlier this year, one Freddy Scott recorded and posted an affectionate and near-perfect Nine Inch Nails spoof called “This Is A Trent Reznor Song.” He’s kept the homage going in a new video for the track, which takes off and runs with the early-Nine Inch Nails video aesthetic, taking clues from “Closer” in particular. The jokes-per-minute ratio could be higher, but the ones in there connect; I especially like the idea that Reznor has a box with “weird sound” written on it. Watch it below.

The song is up for sale on iTunes, just in case you feel some perverse need to own it.

  1. spot on.

  2. “The song is up for sale on iTunes”
Oh so the guy wanna make money off a parody of “Copy of A” ? Well funny or not, that’s just wrong. I’m not sure Trent will laugh at that …

  3. The real question is why Weird Al HAS NOT done this already?

  4. How is this funny/entertaining? He ripped off Copy of A and made lazy observations about each part. The RHCP parody was funny because it didn’t shove the joke of being a parody down your throat.

  5. I think it’s hilarious. It’s not just Copy of A, it’s pretty much every NIN song from the past 15 years. And don’t get me wrong, I love NIN. But this is so spot on.
