Billy Corgan

Independent wrestling entrepreneur and former Zwan frontman Billy Corgan recently performed an eight-hour ambient retelling of Siddartha. That then led to one of the lengthiest and most hilarious live-tweetings in recent memory (thank you, Oneohtrix Point Never). Now Corgan will return to the stage at his own Madame ZuZu’s Tea Shop on March 30 to perform “Sunday With Rumi,” a collection of “4 sonic impressions on poems by the great Sufi mystic.” You can go to Corgan’s website for more … well not much more info actually, but they did provide this video of him and business partner Rodrick Markus talking about tea. It’s free to attend, but expect it to fill up fast.

In other news, Corgan has announced plans to release two new albums by the Smashing Pumpkins in 2015.

Sometimes I think Billy Corgan imagines what an Onion headline would be for him and then he goes and actually does it.
