A couple weeks ago, Weezer posted a video teasing new music from the studio, and today, we’ve got a follow-up: a longer clip that features less actual music, but bassist Scott Shriner does promise “vicious, awesome guitars” are being recorded, which is never a bad thing. The new album being made by Rivers and Co. is being produced by Ric Ocasek, who produced both “Blue” and “Green,” so who knows if that’s a good or bad omen. Watch the video below.

  1. “less actual music” is probably preferable here

  2. I have a feeling that this album will be pretty enjoyable. I hope I’m right.

  3. ok, the last 5 seconds with teh Varz on guitar in the control room just got me WAY too excited

    • Yeah I just got super pumped… but I’ve been hurt so many times before.
But ric is back, which can only be good. maybe this time will be different?

      • If we’re going by the tone on that last guitar lick – it’s pretty solid. I know it’s not a lot to go off of, but it’s something. plus, scott looks haggard and more nerdy which can only bode well, right?

  4. If “Back to the Shack” is on this album, then there is no hope.
