Silicon Valley

Besides the return of Game Of Thrones, last night HBO also aired the premiere of Silicon Valley, a new comedy from Mike Judge (Office Space, Beavis & Butthead, King Of The Hill) and Alec Berg (Seinfeld, EuroTrip, The Dictator) set in the midst of California’s tech industry. As Matador Records co-founder Gerard Cosloy points out at Matablog, one of the show’s writers is Chavez guitarist Clay Tarver, and not-that-coincidentally, the pilot features music by Chavez. (Also: Kid Rock!) Watch the full episode below.

Silicon Valley airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on HBO, and that Radiohead joke was a low blow.

  1. When he said Radiohead sucks he didn’t mean it as a joke. He was stating the fact that Radiohead sucks! They’re seriously the most overrated band of all time second only to U2. FACT.

    • Fact is he (fictional character in a comedy show) said Radiohead are assholes, not that they sucked. Another fact: wether music sucks or is over-rated is a matter of personal taste and opinion.

  2. This show is awesome though!!

  3. Just noticed Spoon’s “Small Stakes” is in there too.

  4. Oh, and there’s Green Day’s “Minority” at the end.

  5. As someone that works in Silicon Valley, I can say the satire was spot on.

  6. Bring back Chavez! NOW DAMMIT!
