Alicia Keys - "It's On Again" video

Pharrell produced “It’s On Again,” the new Alicia Keys inspirational-disco number from the soundtrack to The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and Kendrick Lamar starts it out with a shouty verse, which means the song might have a stronger cast of talent than the movie itself. In the new video for the track, those three, along with an orchestra conductor I don’t recognize, play some sort of super-team, and Pharrell uses his insane-hacker genius to turn all of Manhattan’s lights into a synchronized light show. It’s both pretty dumb and pretty fun, and you can watch it below.

The soundtrack to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is out now, and the movie is out 5/2. It looks like garbage.

  1. This song is grossly meh. Perhaps even sub-meh. The production is so bland and really weak for a superhero movie single. Keys sounds like she was told to avoid getting too passionate with her singing. Kendrick has used the shout rap thing too much lately; it sounded amazing on Backseat Freestyle but it’s lost it’s force after using it in all those rock song remixes and features. A poor product of all star talent.

  2. Can’t wait to hear this one in the film. Sounds like it would fit an action scene, for sure.
