Gone Girl poster

The first time Trent Reznor and frequent collaborator Atticus Ross got together to score a David Fincher film, it was The Social Network, and they won an Oscar for it. The duo worked with Fincher again on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, and they’ve collaborated with Fincher once again on the forthcoming thriller Gone Girl, an adaptation of the Gillian Flynn novel. The film’s trailer made its way to the internet today, and it’s soundtracked by Psychedelic Furs frontman Richard Butler’s cover of singer-songwriter Charles Aznavour’s 1974 song “She.” Check it out below.

Gone Girl hits theaters 10/3, and you can hear eerie snatches of Reznor and Ross’s score at the film’s site.

  1. Sounds like Trent and Atticus have another good score on their hands.

  2. I could barely make it through this song & I love Butler’s voice but this is just awful. The music just accentuates how awkward he sounds with this style.

  3. What a misleading title for this article! This is NOT Trent Reznor’s score. The cover song is NOT part of the SCORE! Did a retard write this article? The SCORE is the music that plays during the film!
