Shura

Touch,” the debut single from Moscow via London singer Shura, is an expert take on that subtly funky, misty-lensed throwback pop Blood Orange does so well. The refrain — “I want to touch you, but I’m too late/ I want to touch you, but there’s history” — exceptionally evokes the frustrated longing that accompanies the prospect of reigniting an old romance, and the melody is indelible. It’s a great song, and today it gets a great remix. Spanish dance-rockers Delorean have given “Touch” a Balearic makeover without compromising its ghostly mystique or retro flavor. It’s not too late for this song to touch you, so listen to the remix below.

No label deal for Shura yet, but she’s working on her debut album now and is expected to release more new music this spring.
