Cut Copy on Kimmel

The floppy-haired Australian dance-rockers Cut Copy are the sort of band who practically seem genetically engineered to play festival stages, and Jimmy Kimmel Live put them on one last night. Or, actually, Jimmy Kimmel Live put them on one several weeks ago. For reasons that I can’t imagine, the band taped their appearance at the beginning of the month, and the show is just getting around to airing it now. Either way, the band looked and sounded fantastic knocking out two of the big-sky dance albums from their most recent album, 2013′s underrated Free Your Mind: “Meet Me In A House Of Love,” and, as an online bonus, “We Are Explorers.” Watch both performances below.

Free Your Mind is out now on Modular.

  1. I like their records but as a “live” band they suck. 95% of what you hear is pre recorded and you have four guys struggling to sound and look “live” Saw them on the previous tour and left half way through the show and I don’t do that usually.
