Three Man Cannon - "Patiently"

Following a three-year absence (minus a split EP from last year), Philadelphia-via-Scranton’s Three Man Cannon are returning with a new album and a retooled sound. “Patiently” is the first single from their upcoming Pretty Many People, and it dulls the band’s harder edges, choosing to lean into influences like Built To Spill and other mid- to late-’90s Northwest lo-fi touchstones. The track builds slowly, starting with melodic strums before giving way to fuzz and thrashing guitars. Listen below.

Pretty Many People is out 5/27 via Lame-O Records.

  1. I felt the newest Tigers Jaw (the band these three guys left in pursue this band) song that came out last week sounded like a grown-up Taking Back Sunday song, so is it crazy that I think Three Man Cannon’s return sounds like a grown-up Straylight Run song a la “Existentialism On Prom Night”?
