  1. Not available in the UK – boo, hiss etc

  2. I’m feelin some Housemartins here! This band is pure ear candy.

  3. Been listening to this one for a while. It is pretty darn good. I don’t think it matches up with their first two but it is a consistent listen. Kelly sounds like a mix of The Smiths and Amy Grant, in the best way possible. Until the Sun Explodes and Eurydice are very catchy songs that sort of hark back to their Belong days. Art Smock is one of their best ballads.

They are becoming one of the most reliable guitar pop bands around. Really nice group of guys and gals as well.

  4. I hear The Smiths, I hear The Sundays, I even hear… The Cardigans… And I hear a lot of good things too. It sounds familiar but, most of all, it sounds great. Very catchy, very fun, could be my summer jam (with the Swans new behemot of an album, of course).

  5. Gorgeous! Another AOTY contender!

  6. Like this one a lot.

“Eurydice” is probably going to stay as one of my favorite tracks from this year.

  7. I love this band. Not only do they make great music, but they are one of the nicest groups I have ever met. When I saw them in March, Kip took time to have a personal conversation with anyone who came up to him. He wasn’t just going through the traditional “rockstar” motions-he really loved talking with his fans. Just an awesome dude.

  8. This album makes me want to do this.

  9. Kip is a fantastic song writer.

  10. Funny, I’ve been listening to this album for some time now but I didn’t notice how beautiful it was until I could read all the lyrics.

  11. and yes I downloaded the leaked record but I also pre ordered the LP so I’m allowed to do that.

  12. The whole album is great, but “Life After Life” is pop perfection in every sense. I never thought a Pains of Being Pure at Heart album would be the one I hear most in any year.
