Soundgarden Announce NYC Superunknown Show With $19.94 Tickets

As fans of our Anniversary features already know, Soundgarden released Superunknown, their popular breakthrough and arguable masterpiece, 20 years ago. They celebrated the anniversary by playing the album in full at an SXSW show. And now they’ll play another Superunknown-in-full show at New York’s Webster Hall 6/2 (the night before the album reissue is out), according to soundgardenworld.com. Matt Cameron, who is otherwise busy with Pearl Jam this year, will play drums at the show. But be advised that this is a corporate gig, and you’ll need to be a Citibank credit or debit card holder to be eligible to buy tickets. In a slightly on-the-nose reference to the release date, those tickets will run you $19.94, and they’ll be on sale 5/21 at 10AM EST.
