Fun Fun Fun Fest Lineup 2014

Fun Fun Fun Fest normally does a pretty good job at balancing different genres and this year seems no different. Headliners for the event include Nas, Death Cab For Cutie, Neutral Milk Hotel, Girl Talk, Alt-J, King Diamond, Death From Above 1979, and heavy metal Brits Judas Priest. Further down on the list you have Death Grips, the reunited Blood Brothers, 2 Chainz, Flying Lotus, Sky Ferreira, Dinosaur Jr, New Pornographers, Guided By Voices, Yo La Tengo, and Atmosphere. And even further down there’s Iceage, Deafheaven, METZ, Run The Jewels, Ryan Hemsworth, Dum Dum Girls, Foxygen, Courtney Barnett, Sun Kil Moon, Angel Olsen … it’s a pretty stacked lineup. It all goes down in Austin from 11/7-11/9. Tickets go on sale tomorrow at 11AM EST and you can buy them here.

  1. All of these DFA1979 bookings on lineups lately — Here’s hoping this is indicative of a new album this year!

Nice to see Knapsack’s reunion jaunt still has some more juice in it, too.

  2. How could they misspell Majical Cloudz? I mean, just sound it out.

  3. The Blood Brothers.

    That is all.

    • Seeing that the Blood Brothers are playing Fun Fun Fun Fest makes me wonder if I should make the trip out to FYF now, since it kinda indicates they’ll be touring in some form, right?

      • I’d think it’s a safe bet at this point. FFFF & FYF are spread out enough that the BBs could surely manage some tour dates in between.

        • It felt it like last night, but after reading this interview with Jordan Billie, I think the reunion is going to be special event specific right now. They’ll probably hit up a few punk-minded fests, do a few nights in NYC and ignore everyone in between: http://noisey.vice.com/blog/blood-brothers-reunion-interview

It sucks because I really want to see them, but I don’t want to splurge on the trip to do so.

    • When did they get back together? This is awesome, they were always great live.

  5. This is fucking amazing. Every time I go back and look I find another great artist I didn’t notice before.
